i have been fortunate to be a part of this family’s lives for many, many momentous occasions. i first met lexi during her engagement shoot…it was an amazing, fun and wild engagement shoot. in fact, it was quite possibly the craziest shoot i’ve ever done as there was no shortage of wild events including bee stings, hail and one of them (i won’t say who!) falling in the water. since that time, i have shot her wedding, her first maternity session, another family session and now her second maternity session. i truly feel blessed to be such a constant part of so many amazing times in their lives.;-)
as i was editing these images from her maternity shoot, i realized also, that there was a definite constant with her sessions….the majority of them revolve around the water. and rocks. and nature. and well, that’s quite appropriate for her since she IS a soil scientist and all.;-)

these following images are two of my favorite “connection” images of all time. we were waiting on mom to get changed so she could join us for a few pictures. while we were waiting, big sis went and sat right next to little sis and started watching over her while she slept…
